Random reboot and system freezing
I took delivery of an 8.9 wifi last week and since then it has been playing up.
It upgraded OTA to 2.3 once I'd signed into my google account. It was sitting on my bedside table that night after spending some time playing with it and it re-started itself about 3 times in the middle of the night - it was in sleep mode at the time. So I switched it off.
The next day whilst the unit was in sleep mode, it refused to wake up with a brief button press, it tool the long press to reboot it. This happened several times - random reboot or failing to wake up whilst in sleep mode.
I hard reset it using the power and volume buttons and restored factory settings. I only set up Wifi, no google accounts and no additional apps and it still happens.
It seems to happen more if I leave the browser running and it goes into power save (sleep) mode. I have contacted Samsung and they have suggested that the unit may be faulty so I have arranged a replacement from the vendor.
Has anybody else had problems with random re-booting and freezing?
