Contacts problem

Hi
Im having an issue with my contacts in that contacts are being merged.

example
Joe bloggs has a mobile number attached via google but for some reason another persons mobile number is being added to Joe Bloggs contact so its showing as having 2 mobile numbers....I havent knowingly done this any help would be appreciated!?
