Changing Modem of GT-S6102B by Modem of GT-5360
I'm interested to change modem of my Samsung Galaxy Y Duos
I'm from Colombia...
I bought a Samsung Galaxy Y Duos (S6102B), It Came with Gingerbread 2.3.6.
Version Kernel: 188.8.131.52 se.infra_AT_Sign_SEI-44 # 1.
Number of Compilation: GINGERBREAD.VJLC3.
In Colombia the frequencies for WCDMA are 850MHz/1900MHz.
My GT-S6102B has preselected 900MHz/2100MHz Brazil and Asian frequencies, and I need to enable 850MHz/1900MHz for gain advantage of HSDPA (3.5G) data connections.
According to List of UMTS networks - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
- Mexico has 850MHz/1900MHz
- Uruguay has 850MHz/1900MHz/2100MHz
- Venezuela has 850MHz/900MHz/1800MHz/1900MHz
As I have understood, is possible to change (Modem/phone) of S6102B
taking (Modem/phone) of S5360
Reviewing firmwares that can be candidates to unpack I have:
I think that S5360
Firmware of Uruguay is better because is more recent and more complete.
For other changes, I will take as a base the S6102
Firmware of India.
My intention is to mix the S6102 firmware of India
with the S5360 firmware (modem part) of Uruguay
I want to know if is possible to make changes according to compatibilities of Modem/phone for these models.
I want to know how I can do successful this process. If you have a guide/advise for me, I will be grateful.
