Default How to remove boot screens and sounds and boot faster

Make sure your y is rooted,, using root explorer set to rw

1 ) in \System\Media\ - delete bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg. These are the bootup animation screens.

2 ) in \System\Media\Video\Shutdown\ - delete all the .png and a .cfg. These are the shutdown screens.

3 ) in \System\Etc\ - delete PowerOn.wav. This is the bootup sound.

and

4 ) in \System\Media\Audio\ui\ - delete shutdown.ogg. This is the shutdown sound.

This also removed my 02 branding from boot!, boot is very quick now and so is shutdown.

if your phone is not rooted, you may use "nolock" and "lockbot" application. It's free at the adroidmarket. Install "nolock" first to remove the boot screen then "lockbot" to customize your bootscreen to your preference.
