Yes for me I did root my galaxy y. And yes its a big difference because rooting can make ur Galaxy Y play HD games and some useful application that needs rooting. Only thing is, Rooting a phone well make ur warranty void.

I AGREE. Rooting is like JAILBREAK on iPhone so dami mong magagawa kapag rooted ka like what LeMarc stated. Daming USEFUL apps na need ng root if your an APP enthusiast.
At pwede mo mapabilis ang phone mo using different tweaks like v6 supercharger and free up dalvik cache and back up apps using Titanium Backup. Pwede ka rin makasave battery using juicedefender and cputuner or setcpu. Basta marami!

Hello! I got a problem on my Galaxy y. Laging delayed yung text, then minsan hindi ako matawagan, at hirap din mag text. Nung ininsert ko yung sim sa ibang phone okay naman, kaya ang ginawa ko ng insert ako ng ibang sim sa galaxy y. Then ganun din yung nangyari delayed text at hirap din makapag send ng text. Ni reset ko na yung phone into factory settings pero wala parin. Help

" SD card blank or has unsupported file system " daw.
i tried reformatting yung card sa phone.. even sa PC.. pero ayaw naman ma-format.
na-reset ko na rin yung phone :c pero ganun pa rin.

Yung phone ko nag hang tas namatay na. Tnry kong iopen uli pero hangaang welsome shit lang (yung nagaappear yung samsumg logo) Tapos di na natuloy sa pagoopen ng phone. Naulit ulit lang yung samsung thing. Help please

Reflash it via odin. Or upgrade ur phone to 2.3.6 using or FOTA

Plants vs. Zombies is not compatible with our phone. It requires root permission and chainfire 3D

Di ka makakalaro ng games na ganyan. ARMV7 phone lng yan. ARMV6 ang phone natin. And kung gumana man, maraming bugs.. Ang rooting, lahat ng bagay magagawa mo sa phone mo, like playing 3D games, back up application. Tuning CPU. Speed up phone. Marami pa. Pero it voids your warranty . Can we add more ringtones for sms notification?
I also having difficulty setting up my contacts settings, I have contacts in my sim and phones ( as i have in my nokia) and set the display to phones only. But when i compose sms and access contacts, its always 2 sets.

on your sd card root create new folder named Notifications and paste there your desired notification tone. Do this the same with call ringtone, create folder Ringtones on outermost sd folder. With regards to contacts, you can set display option, sim and untick "all contacts" if u want to view phone contacts only.

I have questions abt rooting my samsung glaxy y through pc/cp. Btw i know nothing abt these things
I've seen videos on youtube on how to root samsung galaxy y and it i think it is easy but not safe. My questions are can you guys suggest on how to root my phone easily and yet safely.
What to do before rooting?
What if i fail?
What are the consequences?

guys..may problem ako sa back button ko ..hindi sya sira .pero nag iistuck up sya .,usually nangyayari xa sa home tska pag nagttxt ako.. bigla nlang syang d nagana at khit anung diin ng pindot ang gwin ko eh d na xa napipindot.. nppindot lng xa ulit kapag gnalaw ko ung screen or naglipat ng page.. wat suppose to be the problem? pls i need ur advice..its annoying lng kse..bgo plang unit ko

same po tayo ng problem pero nagdownload n me ng battery dr. saver but still mabilis madrained ung batt ano po kayang cause? help nman po....
buti nga sa inyu, battery lang eh, ako puro error na sa startup phone ko sinisingil ako ng 1k ng samsung PH kasi daw di ko binili sa pilipinas CP ko kundi sa HK

1. Back Up your files to computer
2. Insert your sd card
3. go to sd card and phone storage sa setting
4. select format sd card
5. the sd card must be fat32
6. trasfer the file you backup to sd card
that should work normal now

1.Go to recovery mode (Vol Up+Home+Power) Wait 5 seconds
2.Factory reset and wipe cache partition
3. reboot
that must go to normal
if not solved here's another
1. turn on your phone,
2. dun sa samsung logo. long press mo ang menu button hanggang sa mag vibrate ng malakas
3. nasa safe mode kana
4. uninstall mo ang mga di kailangan na apps na palaging nag sstart sa pag on mo nang cp mo.
5. restart mo na
kapag hindi parin
reflash to stock rom via odin 1.85
kapag hindi parin
padala mo na sa service center :P
