Default main screen when turning on gravity smart

When you are at the main screen and the screen is locked, you can slide right to unlock or slide left to turn sound on or off. Does anybody know how or if the sound option can be disabled?

Try installing WidgetLocker. It lets you customize your lock screen (and you can get rid of the sound slider).
