If this game wasn't compatible it wouldn't even give you an option to download.
Next option to try before factory resetting, grab app brain app market and fast web installer from Google Play and try to download it that way.
With the fast Web installer, it let's you bypass actually going through the market to download.
Report back if that still doesn't work for you.
