I downloaded the 7500L files III2 and installed using ODIN but I still get the screen to unlock. Now my phone does have a bell SIM card in it but it is not active, could this be the issue?

I also DL'd the II5 firmware and removed the AMSS file using jzip to try that and the unlock screen still pops up.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

So I'm working on a friend's 75OOL on rogers and I had a few questions:

1) If I understood correctly, I can remove the AMSS from the 7500 II5, and put in the AMSS from the III2, remake the tar and update the phone through Odin One Package Update. Correct? If so, how do I rebuild the new custom II5 tar file?

2) Afterwards can I flash GalaxHero or Galaxo? Is there any modification needed?

Download jzip. Open the tar in jzip, and delete the cache.img. Close jzip.

Now use that file to Odin to the phone.

You can install Galaxo as per normal instructions.

Thanx for the help but I'm not seeing a cache.img in the tar file... we are talking about I7500XXII5-PDA-CL64494-REV5(VIA).tar right? I only have amss, kernel, recovery, and system.

depends where you got it from. seems someone has already modified and deleted the cache.img prior to uploading so you only have to remove amss

So I'm guessing install instructions for the 1.6 on the 7500L are the same, juste remove thes amss and cache.img and odin through ops?

Those who ve tested it:how is it?

Yes, that's how I did it. Runs good, but data and wifi seem to be a bit finicky. but the previous builds of 1.5 i've tried all had the same issues, so I guess I can't complain. Maybe it's an issue with the IK6 hardware firmware that's still left on there (I assume this is what the AMSS file updates).

yeah it'll be the baseband. Not much you can do until they release a newer firmware for 7500L that you can steal the AMSS from.

Default Bell Data on 1.6

So, I've upgraded it. (it's terrifying, until you figure out how recovery mode works (you've gotta push up to get the menu) and restore the phone from there.

Now, everything except for the HSPA data is working. phone works, text works, wifi, gps, everything but the bell data. I'm wondering if there's an option I haven't configured?

Hello, my friend Firmware!

Do you know which language does this firmware support? Does it have Brazilian Portuguese?
This model, i7500L, is sell only in Canada and Brazil, correct?

One last question: What is the release date of this fw? Where can I find it?

Thanks a lot!

Wow, can you post BMIK7 somewhere?

Also, you wouldn't happen to have IK6 as well just in case IK7 isn't as good?

Download Here

This is the actual I7500BMIK7.zip that Samsung-Firmwares posted, I renamed it because it is not an IK7 firmware, only IK6. The new name of the file, "I7500BMIK6-PDA(BMC).zip", is taken from the contained file which is "I7500BMIK6-PDA(BMC).tar".

I have not installed this firmware yet as I am currently on Galaxo 1.6.1 and don't have the time to test it.

If anyone does use/test it, please post your results in this thread.

I got the above firmware tonight. Thank you. I will use it as a rescue if I break anything. Presumably the BM = Bell Mobility?

Hello Guys!

I flashed my Galaxy I7500L with the Donut Firmware without delete the amss and cache.img. The first problem that I notice was with the 3g conection. I manually configured it and the problem was solved.
Without talking about the shameful battery life and some delay on the applications, the main problem I'm having is with the caller id, it don't recognize the contact. Anyone knows if I flash with the original amss and cache.img it's gonna work fine again? Or just for flashing with a rom from another region I can't have the caller id working fine?

Sorry for bad english.

its kept the original amss as you deleted the one from the rar.
cache is just some software layer configurations and nothing important
