your phone is broken and you cannot boot?
at this point i wouldnt bother rooting it and try to fix the reason it cannot boot first of all
if you are in the simple recovery mode you can use adb in windows (usually c:\android-sdk-windows\tools\adb.exe) and also you might need to disconnect and reconnect the phone for adb to recognise it
do

Code:
adb push RECTOOLS.tar.gz /sdcard/
adb shell sync

Just one/two question(s).

Can you boot to mini Recovery? And. Does your ADB work?
If does you will need to push the file via ADB.

How to :
1) Put RECTOOLS.tar.gz and recovery.img in the same directory on your computer
2) Boot the phone in fastboot mode
3) Flash your recovery partition (using fastboot) with the recovery image :
Quote:
./fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
4) Reboot in mini recovery mode
5) Using adb, put all the necessary files on your sdcard :
Quote:
./adb push RECTOOLS.tar.gz /sdcard/
./adb shell sync
6) Reboot :
Quote:
./adb shell reboot recovery
Please don't delete the recovery archive in your sdcard, or redo 5) if you have deleted it
