Default Alternative contacts App/importing contacts?

I can't seem to import contacts from my sim card all in one go. I can only see options to import one at a time (from my sim card that is).

Is there an alternative, useful app for this or an alternative contacts app other than the defaut one that came with my Galaxy?

Sorry it's not here with me right now so I can't chekc the firmware number, but it's as factory - unchanged.

Hi,

there must be:

when you in contacts press menu button, then IMPORT CONTACTS. This will import all contacts from your sim (as far as I know in all firmware versions).

Alternative is program called Contact2Sim from market.

I try this and then choose from sim card and then I have to pick them one by one!

I'll give it another go when it's back from the shop.

You have your contacts on your SIM? That's very 20th Century of you.

I'd be tempted to bin them and just enter them manually on the phone. There can't be that many, and it means you can merge "Dave - Home"(*) and "Dave - Mobile" into one "Dave" contact.

(* - just an example, also works for contacts who aren't called Dave.)

That's exactly what I am trying to avoid!!!

Yes I see the point about merging "Mum mobile" and "Mum home". Since I don't know anyone call Dave, that's what I'll be doing for my other conact
