Default How do I know how much data I've used

Do I automatically get notified if my data usage nears the 2GB limit? How do I check it in the meantime? Thanks.

Would still like to know about the automatic notification, but I did find that sending the code *3282# does work to get the info. I had tried that and didn't get a response, thus the reason for my post, but got a message back sometime later with the data usage info.

On the Samsung 4G Infusion w/ AT&T you can do *DATA# and select send a text msg should be sent to your phone with your data info. also on AT&T network you will get a notification at 60% 90% so that way you know you are nearing your plan. Just to give you an idea as to what 2G's of space is... It is 8000 e-mail's 3200 Web Pages 600 Face Book posts as well as 1200 E-mails with file attatchments and that also give you 30 app downloads.. and 1hr of streaming music and video Have a GREAT DAY

Thanks mdcampa05. This is new to me, so it will be interesting to see how my usage compares to the numbers of emails, etc, you cited as example. I don't anticipate alot of messaging and emails, but web searches, a few apps, GPS, as well as video and music.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the 4G Infuse... So worth the 199 you pay for the phone. I do reccomend one application "Advance Task Killer" if you preset the setting to w/ your ignore list on Text MSG and E-mails and set the Auto Kill to Safe mode and every 30 min you will save battery life... If you set this to agressive you will kill the operateing functions on your phnoe!

Thanks again. Will check out task killer. That's a little concerning about the GPS. I had hoped to use it alot. Is it the GPS itself, or updating the map? Is there anything to reduce the data usage, like have it update less frequently. Don't know how feature rich the navigation option is on these phones. On a long trip, especially if travelling the same road for awhile, updating my position precisely probably isn't necessary to do frequently. However, getting traffic updates might be.

AT&T introduced the world to a 4.5 inch near-beast. With a different processor here and more RAM there, this could have been their Galaxy S II. Instead, it's closer to a Galaxy S phone than anything. It has a beefier 1.2GHz single-core Humm... Read More
