Default Google Services Framework Stopped Unexpectedly

Does anyone know why my Samsung infuse has been showing the message: "Google services framework stopped operating unexpectedly" with a "Force Close" button?

This only occurs when the phone is in wifi mode (or otherwise internet connected) and is preceded by the same vibration as when a call is received when sound is off.

AT&T is carrier (sadly) but I doubt they have much to do with this mess.

Please help.
Thanks,
Meg
