Default Platinumtel Root?

I am attempting to root a samsung intercept on the platinumtel carrier. It is running android 2.3.3.

I have tried Superoneclick and interceptrook.apk, but have had no luck. With superoneclick it always gets stuck "waiting for device" on step 5. Interceptroot.apk will not go past the point where I click "permanent root".

Are there any solutions to these problems? I have tried everything I could find online with no luck Any help would be appreciated

thanks.
