Default question about screen...

I just got my mesmerize, had an HTC desire before. Now on the desire if I was on a webpage and zoomed the screen in, the webpage would automatically adjust to fit the screen..is there a way to make the mesmerize do this? If I zoom in, it just stays the same.

I hope this makes sense..

just to clarify; when I say zoom I mean when you 'pinch' the screen, like if you are looking at a website and it isn't big enough. so you do the pinch-to-zoom..on the desire it would automatically readjust the screen so it was zoomed where you wanted it, but the whole page fit the screen. on the mesmerize it zooms but doesn't readjust to fit the screen..so you have to scroll back and forth to read a whole line of text.
sorry for the less-than-eloquent explanations..I'm having a hard time explaining myself.

I realize this doesn't directly answer your question, but...

You might want to give Dolphin HD browser a try.

Double tap of the screen zooms in, and it automatically configures the text to fit your screen.

i find that it does it automatically, some times. The built in browser isn't the best. I did try dolphin but somehow it got changed so that all the actions were some kind of swipe motion to get it to do things.

Drove me nuts so I reverted back to stock. Will give it a go again later.

You can turn off the swipe gestures in Dolphin HD. I never use them, either.
