Well, I didn't want something like this to be my first post, but I need help. I've read through the entire thread here, and my problem isn't even mentioned, which is not inspiring. The phone had 1.5 installed and I've "upgraded" to 2.1. I've only had the phone for roughly 3 weeks and I've been careful about what apps I've installed (but you can never be certain of what you're getting).

Here's the problem, just started today:

When I enter camera mode (default program), and press the mechanical camera button, the phone displays ringer volume, then proceeds to call the recent number on my call history. I've restarted the phone to no avail, and I've restarted it with pulling the battery. It's still an issue. I'm thinking it's either something I've downloaded, or a hardware issue.

Help.

I've tried the factory reset, and it's still doing it. It's any button I press now. I guess I'll have to get another unit.

My issue with this device is that when I'm using the phone for messaging or uploading por downloading anything and it rings, the phone freezes. I push the answer button but nothing happens and all I see is a black screen.
This happens most often when I'm texting and I can't even silence the ringer. It just rings and sometimes it goes on so long that I miss the call.

Other than that I loathe the dropped calls by sprint, seriously about to leave for at&t and get the nre bberry.

Try re-flashing 2.1.

I found the answer to the Android 2.1 update and BT voice dialing problem.
Your Gmail account has duplicate entries or you merged duplicate entries within Gmail causing the problem. If you merged duplicate entries, it cannot be reversed thus creating a new account will fix it.
Here is what I done.
1. I created a new Gmail account
2. I manually added all the contacts entries so I didn't have any duplicates. DO NOT IMORT YOUR CONTACTS FROM YOUR CURRENT ACCOUNT.
3. I logged out of my current Gmail account
4. Reset phone to factory settings in menu, This is a must to use the new Gmail account. If you just add a new account, you just make it worse.
5. Logged into new Gmail account
6. Tested BT voice dial, confirmed working

Default Haven't seen this one yet...

Ok, so i went through the thread and haven't seen this particular one yet. My phone has recently developed an issue. It dims the screen whenever it wants to. Just whenever. Then it may or may not come back to full brightness. It spends most of the time dim though. I uninstalled my most recent apps but havent' seen it change.
Anyone else ?
Bueller ?

Did you check in settings to make sure the "auto brightness" isn't checked?

Indeed it is !
What I have been experiencing seems really random, just now and the brightness change, with no apparent correlation to what I am doing with the phone.
Anyway, thanks for the suggestion, I turned it off and will watch to see if it happens anymore.

Ok, so Hotani figured out a possible fix to my first problem, so how about this one ?
My phone just doesn't accept some calls. This evening for instance, the phone is sitting on the arm of the chair, right next to me. Never rings. Later on, I get a VM from my sister, who is listed as one of my favorites in contacts, not set to ignore or anything, and it just never rang. Doesn't even show a missed call, just the VM.
Any ideas ?? This seems to be an intermittent problem.

Bad reception area would be the more logical answer for that 1...

Default Missed calls keep phone unlocked

Has anyone had the problem of missing a call when your moment is in your pocket, and then accidentally dialing other people or performing other functions b/c the screen becomes unlocked after the call is missed? I'm having a time figuring out how to remedy this problem. Any help?
