I just needed to switch my plan to a compatible plan which YES unfortunately does lock me in for another 2 years but I still got the phone at $79.99.

Just checked my sprint account and they charged me for the phone and my plan changed. I also received an email with my tracking number.

Victory is mine!
So just to be clear, at no point did you indicate in the order process that you were an existing customer? What plan did you pick? does it matter? I'm on a family plan and would like to do this for my line... should we just make sure we enter the info for the person who the plan's name is in? I'm suspicious, but I'll give it a go for a $100 discount...

Default moment on amazon?

Hi,

I have family messaging plan and happen to have 2 phones that are each eligible for the $150 upgrade discount.

This means I can get 2 Samsung Moments for 79.99 if I move to family data plan and renew a 2 year contract?

Too good to be true?

Side comment to the person wanting the Air Rave - get in touch with retentions - they should fix you up - I did have to wait for my Rave (was back ordered), but got it for no charge (or monthly fee) - and it works too :-)

Learned about it on the Fatwallet forums; when I tried to bargain for a cheaper Pre they threw it at me as a way to cut the cost of the phone down. (You can also use it to reduce your monthly, which is more $$ if you're willing to wait for it). Eventually they hung up on me when I bargained too hard, then I had to call back to cancel the $70 credit and revoke my contract so that I can go back and re-negotiate - this time for the Moment.

The $70 credit is what they're doing in lieu of "loyalty discounts" that they used to offer - retentions is a lot less generous than it was a year ago, apparently.

I've been a Sprint customer since 1999 btw.

Default No Go -- UPDATE

So after sprint chat denied my request for the $99 BB pricematch I sent an email to ecare and "Considering your good payment history and the long-term association with
us, I have applied a one time credit of $80.00 on your account to make
the price of the handset equal to $99.99.

Now, your account has a credit balance of $80.00. This credit will be
adjusted on the next invoice."

Thanks Android Forums!!
