I must admit I am surprised at the popularity of the giant clock widget from BW on peoples' home screens. It covers up the wallpaper and there is already a clock in the notification bar. What am I missing?
Easier to quickly see the time as well as temperature.
just a little jelp please.... possibly from joeykrim

mind going a little slower and having a little more detail?
i'm old and slow these days, not to mention doing far too many things at once
install the jre sdk....
install the android sdk.....
install the moment drivfers if needed..........
browse to the folder android-sdk-windows / tools
then double click on ddms.bat
( i was unable to do it via cmd prompt ) ( no reasom why )
the ddms window comes up, i was feeling great, but the screen capture was greyed out
took me a minute or two....
in the list top left called "Name"
there is the micro picture of a phone and M900*****
i believe all the other numbers after M900 are serial numbers
a whole lotta interesting things appear on the bottom of the screen about your phone.....
and whatt'ya know the screen capture button works now
WOW !

Out of curiosity, why would you want the 2.34 version?

I like the overall look much better (the clock is smaller, the weather is more in the middle, the text isn't so bold and it just looks cleaner IMO), I like that my zipcode shows and not my city (cause it's too long and gets cut off and looks sloppy) and I like the look of the toggle widgets much better too! I wish the updated version at least gave us the option to use these

Sorry to be a bother, but do you know if the current beautiful widgets app includes the clock... I read that beautiful widgets received a cease and desist order from HTC..

It includes a clock, just not this clock, lol. The newer version is fantastic and worth the money if you choose to purchase it. There are tons of skins to choose from! I just personally like the old version better...but give me a week and I'm sure I'll get bored and switch back to the newer version with a skin Hope that helps!

Very nice! By anychance does the Polymod Theme work on 1.5? Cause me likey
I dont believe so and Ive since had to uninstall it cuz its wiping my GDE screens and leaving them blank. Hopefully it gets sorted soon because stock notification bar sucks
Man.. Is there a screen shot app yet (for 1.5), Aside from open home? i can't find anything in the market, and don't wanna do the pc option mentioned a couple pages back. There has to be something for non-rooted, no?

No stand alone apps in 1.5 that I am aware of...Before I had the 2.1 leak, I followed these instructions....

Haha, you're from St. Pete? I used to live there about 5 yrs ago. I miss going to The Garden on the weekends.
the other method to take screenshots without root is using the android sdk.
turn usb debugging mode on
from the command prompt in android-sdk/tools run ddms
on the menu at the top, select Device-> screen capture
1.What is the android sdk?
2. When you say the command prompt in android-sdk/tools which command prompt are you talking about? and
3. How do I run ddms?
Thanks for your response. I forgot how to take pics of my screes, isn't that pathetic? lol
