HTC Hero, Nexus One, and Droid users are posting their screens... let's see yours on your Moment!
Here is mine:
Credit Teph for the background.
FYI - There are apps in the market that let you do screenshots, OpenHome has the option to do it as well if you have it installed. I used photobucket.com to upload images.
The Following User Says Thank You to caspertodd For This Useful Post:
That BeautifulWidgets you have for the clock/weather?
Yeah, they have added an option for skins. I can't remember which one I downloaded though. I think you can even get the original Sense UI flip clock look that BeautifulWidgets had when it first came out through one of the skins.
CriticalCritic: I really like that BMW app drawer!

Thanks Caspertodd I wrecked my Ford a few months ago (3 days after getting my Moment, I got rear ended and my phone shot out of my cupholder and flew across the car) and picked up a 2001 at a great deal... and I had to get this launcher . Though I previously used the same dark hero launcher b/c it is by far the sharpest one offered by openhome IMO.
And I love your setup! Your background and the icons match perfectly, and I can imagine that the dark hero launcher makes a great visual transition from the home keys to the desktop theme when you look at your phone.

The version you mention, and that I am using (though there doesn't appear to be a graphic for freezing rain) was pulled off the market. I'm sure it can still be attained somehow off the market though...
Didn't realize it had to be rooted for picme to work. You could always use a digital camera Cool that the theme worked in PandaHome!

Wow! From Ford to BMW... that's a pretty good upgrade! Yeah, that background has been my favorite so far. I also have a flaming guitar that I got from Zedge that I use every now and then. I always end up going back to this one though.

Reason: Double Post
Thank you so much. That theme works with pandahome. The picme only works on rooted devices so I'm gonna pass on that.
the other method to take screenshots without root is using the android sdk.
turn usb debugging mode on
from the command prompt in android-sdk/tools run ddms
on the menu at the top, select Device-> screen capture
What are you guys using to to have the page subject on the bottom left corners (shop, tools etc....) and also the battery % ( I assume that's what it is) the lower right corner. Also the app drawer pic is pretty cool...how is that done?

by using a home augmentation program such as OpenHome (what we are both using), aHome, Panda Home, or DxHome (I think that's what it's called). and there's another app called 'slider home' (or something like that) that uses an entirely unique setup.
I'm using pandahome but have not found out how to set it up like the way you all have.
I am not to savvy when it comes to getting real technical with the phone...but any direction would be appreciated to show me how to set up what you have.

I haven't used pandahome, so you may be better off getting details from other people... but if it's anything like openhome (which I assume it is) then you should go to the market and pick out / download some themes that sound interesting to you AND ARE EXPLICITLY COMPATIBLE WITH PANDAHOME. Then figure out how to apply themes with pandahome (I assume that on the home screen you hit 'menu' and then 'more' and then... look for an option to apply a theme). Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
And if anyone else is following this thread and has/is using pandahome, please help us out.
oka i got panda home and when i trt to use it and i hit the home key it reverts back to the original screen and also it wont let me use the dark hero theme
Ok, so I assume you installed the dark hero theme from the market. Do a long tap anywhere on your homescreen and select home assistant. Then click themes and if you have installed the dark hero theme you will see it listed. Just click it and then click apply.
oka i got that part thanks now how do i get 5 screens instead of 3 and it still wont stay as the panda home theme it keeps going back to the default menu set up
To get multiscreens you just open home assistant like you did before and there is a button called multiscreen that let's you pick the number of screens you want.
As far as the home screen goes when you clicked the home button the first time it should have asked you what program you want to use when hitting that button. You can check the box that says always use selected and then click pandahome. If it doesn't give you the option ypu can go to phone settings -app settings then click android system and hit the clear defaults button. Then you should get prompted the next time you hit the home key.

Awsome info guys, I was able to customize my moment even more thx to u guys. I do have one question though. When I get the cl14 update will I have to repurchase openhome? I use appmanager to back up my apps to my sd card, but there are several that are protected....most of those I could care less about, but openhome I don't want to have to buy again.

I'd love to use BeautifulWidgets, but I would only want it if i could disable the notification bar. Seems silly to have the time displayed right there, and then right below it in bigger numbers.
Also, is there a way to turn on super bright mode with the MomentFlash widget?

No, you wouldn't have to purchase OpenHome again. It is tied to your Google account, so even if you replaced your phone, you wouldn't have to purchase it again.

Double tap
On a side note, I started checking out the beautiful homes thread under applications section HERE and I am very impressed. But from my understanding, beautiful homes will not be accessible by us until we get the 2.1 upgrade. Is that correct?

Ok, here is mines. Im currently using Sweeter Home Beta 2, and I plan to use all of the other ones to see which one I like more, (besides SH 2 expires 2.10.10, lol)
My setup is like in a (plus) "+" sign. So this is the top part of the screen.
Left, Center, Right ,
Bottom:
Left side expanded:
Center expanded:
right expanded:
As you see, I GOT ALOT OF WORK CUT OUT FOR MYSELF!!
Oh, the fellow in the background is, yours truly, PSYB0RG!!!! Any body have some spare VISINE??

I'm afraid that may actually mean computer, man that hurts to read. Thanks for the screens though, I've been playing around with home replacements and it helps to see stuff like that.
Lol, yea, that kumpta means computer, lol. She is very smart, intelligent, and she is FINE AS HELL!! She almost got Alicia Keys beat, I'd have to struggle with making a choice, lol.
But she doesnt take txt msgs serious and spell anything however she wants
Back on topic now. Actually, I now have a few home replacements running at once. Im trying to figure out which one Im going to end up sticking with PERMANENTLY.
Im using an app called Home Switcher to switch back and forth between Homes. Im currently running, DxTop, GDE, Open home, and Sweeter Home.
So far, I've noticed there isnt really any lag on DxTop or GDE. Due to Sweeterhome 2 being beta, it still do lags after u launch a single app. hopefully they have this worked out.
when I have time to get everything situated, I will take some vids with my camcorder and load them here as well. Stay tuned!
I've got a small bottle of it, but I think you are going to need more than just that
So why do you use a home switcher app to swith back and forth between homes? I thought that you could just not accept the home replacement app as default, and when you press the home button it will ask you which one to use.

You are correct. But I use the home switcher because I havent decided upon which will be my home yet. Thats why I have all of them running, not because I want 20+ screens, but because Im trying to figure out which one I like most, so that I can eliminate the others.
At first, I did think about running all of them, and having a certain home for a certain day, but thinking of the resources that would drain, I changed my mind, besides, the moment (even with custom kernels) have enough problems already, So, I decided its best to keep things really simple

I love your set up! Could you tell me what apps are you running for this set up if you don't mind telling me? I've had my phone for 3 weeks and I've been hesitant because people have said about their phones slowing down, blacking out...etc. Is there any special way or format downloading your set up that even I can do it?
Thanks!

No problem, glad you like it
Here's what I have as far as the looks
From the market:
-Beautiful Widgets (for the weather clock, choose "beautiful home" from the widget menu)
-BetterCut (for changing the names and icons of the apps on the home screens)
-Open Home Skin MyX5 (for the launcher)
-Open Home Full (go ahead and mess around in the options. Persist mode seems to work well to keep the home screen working well but it will cause other apps, especially games, to slow down. I'm using 5 screens but you can enable however many screen you like)
As for the background, use google image search for "flame-jpg"
I think that's about everything... OH, get screebl if you don't have it already.

Yeah, keep us updated on how it goes.
-Open Home has/had a free version (not sure if they still do, and I'm not sure what the limitations are on the free version)
-I'm not sure what you mean by "invalidate any apps." You should be good with whatever you are running.
-When 2.1 comes out your phone will be reset back to blank slate. However the background will be saved to your SD card, so you will still have it to apply. Also, Beautiful Widgets and the X5 launcher will be saved in your market and you will just be able to easily download them again (as well as open home if you get the paid version).
-Screebl also has a free version. It is an app that controls the screen timeout by determining the position of your phone. So if you have the phone in your hands, the screen will not blank out.
No problem, hope you get it just how you like it.

Hey critical, you've been an awesome support! thanks!!! I will try it sometime today when the wife is out and about? I think i will purchase them to get most benifit? My phone is stock that shouldn't be a problem right? Meaning is not rooted? Also i seem to get some really bad internet lag. So wasn't sure is this will make it worse? Thanks!
