Tongue Poor performance after using Zynga apps

Well I've had my TU since April and I love it. The only issue that I've had is when I use any Zynga apps like Words w/ Friends, Scramble Free & Draw Free my phone basically slows down and sometimes even becomes completely unresponsive. So I have to either shut it off and turn it back on or pop the battery. Not a huge deal in the scheme of things but annoying enough that if there is something I can do about it i would. The phone is bone stock other then adding said apps and a few others like Accuweather, Bank of America and such. I haven't added any additional music players or anything that I can find that causes known conflicts.

Thanks in advance for any responses

I use Words with Friends all the time without issues but my TU is modded to its fullest. Every tip, trick, and ROM has and is installed on my phone. Along with some improvements I have made myself. If your up to it, I would flash MegaTron and you will see a world of difference. Been using since Beta.

Thanks niteNarmor, I'll check out MegaTron. Does it flash the bios like a computer? If so it won't mess with any of my personal stuff like photos or data right?

Yes it will delete all data but it will not touch your photos or sdcard. There are steps in the OP that says to partition the sdcard but you don't have to do those steps if you don't want to. I did not partition and still have everything.

always trying to sell people on MegaTron huh? lol i can vouch that MegaTron is a million times better than stock. you get full control on everything about your phone for the most part. in a comparison, id say stock is slightly better then Froyo, where MegaTron is slightly lesser than ICS or Jelly Bean in way of performance. Chev and Mav have really pushed th TU to its absolute limits with the rom. you will definitely love it. and if you have any questions on how to flash it or troubleshooting etc. there is literally like 2 dozen of us who are willing to help lol

Lol always.... Just proud that I was able to part of the beta and very, I do mean very small part in the making of it. Believe me when I say, I would not "sell" anyone anything I didn't like myself. I tried every ROM for the TU and had issues that caused me to back to stock, except MegaTron.

I truely appreciate the help guys

So instead of me fumbling around and trying to piece everything together such as where to get MegaTron and how to flash/install it would you kind gentlmen mind pointing me in the right direction? I'm a computer geek, but have never fooled around with or tweeked any smart phones before. I figure since you offered to help it would save me a good amount of headache in the long run if I just took you up on the offer

To flash MegaTron you need to be rooted.

You will need this ----> Odin
and this -----> Transform.ops
and this -----> build7

Download those first. Then:

(thanks to mavrikmeercat as I forgot this simple step)

You need to enable usb debugging:

Go to settings, applications, development, and tap on usb debugging. Usb debugging should have a check mark in the box now.

It is a good idea while your there to tap on "stay awake" too. This will enable your device to "stay awake" while charging or connected via usb to your computer. Some programs require the device to "stay awake" while programming, so it's just a good idea to go ahead and enable.

To get into recovery:

1: Phone off
2: Press and hold the Volume down button
3: Press and hold the Power button
4: When Samsung logo appears let go of the Power Button

Take cover off back of phone. Connect phone to computer via USB. Once connected pull battery.

Once in recovery:

1. Run the ODIN program you just downloaded.

2. Put your phone into download mode by pressing and holding the camera + volume down + power button at the same time.

You should see a screen pop up that states you are in download mode. Press the volume up button to continue.

3. Hook phone up to computer via usb. On the ODIN screen you should see a yellow box appear in the COM Port Mapping (about 1/4 of the way down on the left) that shows you are connected on COM6 or something similar.

4. Below COM Port Mapping under Option you will see 4 options:

One Package
Auto Reboot
Protect OPS
Reset Time (Sec)

Make sure the first (3) are checked and Reset Time (sec) is unchecked.

5. Below Option under the Debug Option you will see 1 option:

Debug ONLY

Make sure and have that unchecked.

6. 1/2 down on the right you will see "Select OPS".

Click the "OPS" button and find the file you just downloaded: TransformUltra.ops

7. On the bottom right you will see "Selet Integrate Package - Check One Package Option". Click "One Package" and find the file you just downloaded tu_system_boost.

8. Press start.

Let it finish.

9. Follow steps 1-7 again.

10. In "One Package", find the file you just downloaded "tu_stock_recovery" and hit start.

Let it finish.

11. Unplug phone and boot up.

You should be rooted and have CWM installed in order to flash Megatron.

once you have recovery on 2.3.6 everything else will be easy peasy. also a bit of advice, once you have recovery installed and the zip for the rom ready to go, when you do flash over, rember to clear everything. dalvik, data, cache etc. you want to install it on a squeaky clean phone to avoid any issues. if you aren't rooted yet, i dont think you can backup your apps but i might be wrong. it might be one of the perks to being rooted and custom. in any case, before you do flash and run odin etc, make sure you have your bearings and ask questions and well see you on the other side lol :P

To keep your apps before you do everything go to play store and download my apk. It will keep all your apps just not your data.
