READ ME before creating a new thread!

OK, there have been WAY to many instances of people not searching for threads and creating new threads with the exact same topics of existing ones... I ask that you search : Android Forums Search before creating a new thread and making things difficult for other users to get answers because they have to search 10 threads instead of 1...

i am new to this android forum and also to the android phones. i have an xperia x8 mobile and i want to change it to android version 4.0 ice cream sandwitch. i have heard about custom roms and have also searched a lot on how to install 4.0 on my mobile but i still have a problem to go about it cause i am a newbie and i am afraid that anything may go wrong. so can anyone please suggest me an easy way to upgrade my phone to that software? im am just 14 and yeah i want an easy way which has no problems. please help me out. also tell me how to get multi touch screen on my mobile???
and yeah can you also tell me how to post a new thread in these forums???
