Wow, These are fantastic screens. I didn't realize there were so much more to do with customization.

Btw canadianrider, what clock app/skin are you using? I enjoy the simplicity of it.

Thanks!

No problem

Launcher pro + Beautiful widgets are the only apps.

This launcher pro theme: Dreamlyfe Design: LP Themes

I ripped the beautiful widgets theme from this suite: [Release] DarkEdge UI 2.2 - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum

And the icons are just ripped from a token adw suite, I dont remember which one.

BeautifulWidgets doesn't have a demo version, so the only thing there besides that is LauncherPro. The full version is a couple of bucks, and it allows for resizing of widgets and creating custom desktop shortcuts (and I'm sure some other stuff). What he's done though can be accomplished with the free version for the dock, and Desktop Visualizer for the icons on the desktop.

what do you mean the only thing there is LauncherPro? He is running a theme, he said so, and even gave a link.

Dreamlyfe Design: LP Themes
Its a theme for the launcher pro dock. And there's not much to it, just a dock and 5 icons.

Just go to google image search and type in "phone icon png" or "files icon png" etc..you can even use jpg too.....try to keep the icons at 48x48 for best effect....simply copy the files into your external sd card and use bettercut to change the icon shortcuts to the pics you chose.......sounds confusing but it's very simple to do and people just FLIP when they see my home screen.

How did you use the icons without better cut? I have launcher pro.

maverick777,
How do you change the dock icons with better cut? I can figure out how to do that if I have Launcher pro dock?

Hold down the screen -> select shortcuts -> select launcherPro activities or LP shortcuts. The activities feature is very similar to better cut where you create a shortcut for a specific activity. Click on the icon and it allows you to pick one from your gallery.

LP Dock: hold a spot on the dock and a pop up asks you to select a shortcut and allows you to change the icon.

Some one had it in the Launcherpro forums. I'll save you the search and attach it.

I knew that, but how do you place the icon packs downloaded in the gallery? I only have the LP icons in my gallery.

You don't need to use better cut in the dock. Launcher pro gives you the option to use custom icons.

You can also press and hold and select "change icon" and select "custom icon" if you've already added a shortcut.

I know how to change with the LP icons. I'm trying to use the icon packs from the market that I used to change every other icon in my desktop with better cut.

Mine isn't that great: it's just some icons I made/altered.

My favorite part is the live wallpaper (combined with beautiful widget) that changes depending on the weather. The location of the sun/moon also changes depending on the time of day

Anyway, this is my "main" page:

You're in the right place

Most of the stuff you see can be done with downloads from the marketplace.

LauncherPro (free) - (or LauncherPro PLUS-paid) will basically replace your default launcher allowing you much more customization options.

BetterCut - will allow you to change icons for applications on your home screen(s)

Then there are things called "icon packs" that will give you different icons to use with BetterCut.

I suggest you go into the marketplace and search for some icon packs

okay thank you, any free version of better cut?
and also, how do you get the battery and time to display as text? ( i.e seventy percent for battery and 5 minutes to eleven for text)
and how did bradanomics earlier in this thread get his pandora and weather apps to display like that? are those apps?

EDIT: i just installed launcher pro and it changed how the display worked on my phone and now i'm lost any where i can read a guide on how to work this?

Bettercut (just like any paid app) can be returned for a full refund within 24 hours. Give it a try.

I use bettercut and the free version of launcherpro - but am considering paying for the pro version
