Default Can you make movie size smaller with handbrake?

I use handbrake to rip my DVDs to my phone. I followed the instructions on from this linkHow to convert videos and transfer them to the Samsung Vibrant - Know Your Cell

Works fine but the file size is like 1.5GB, does anyone know if there is a way to make the file smaller? I'm not hugely concerned that the quality is the best, but hopefully not too pixally, I just want something to watch while I'm at the gym.

Thank you

The quality can be adjusted with a slider bar, smaller RF value = larger file size (better quality). An RF value of 19 is considered excellent quality. 25 is considered acceptable (on a TV set). On a phone I'd imagine you could you could go higher.

One of the tabs let you select the desired file size. Select custom and then select the file size you want. I usually run about 500 because it still looks decent on my iPad too.

The Samsung Vibrant is the T-Mobile USA version of the Samsung Galaxy S. It's rockin' a 4 inch Super AmoLED screen, a 1GHz Hummingbird processor, and a crazy 16gb of space for some sweet apps and games.  Also on board you'll find... Read More
