Default OTA Froyo update

Hey all,

Supposedly, T-Mobile is sending out an OTA Froyo update on Feb. 23rd. After bricking my phone once because of this update, I wonder how many issues will arise.

It's probably the update to 2.1 that a few people reported getting.

What's the update?

According to the tech support guy, it is the Froyo update...2.2 software...but again, this is all SUPPOSED to happen...we all know how reliable customer service is.

Odds are pretty good he's wrong. Just look at all the posts on xda with people given wrong info from customer service.

Well if that is true and it is the same version as the kies froyo that we got, I sure hope it doesn't come to my phone. Last time my phone did an update over an update it bricked it.

I have a OTA update right now that I haven't done that showed up yesterday. Any idea what that might be? I still haven't updated to 2.2.

It doesn't tell me what it is, just that I won't be able to use my phone and will take about ten minutes to install.

Default Getting Repaired at Samsung

I bricked mine doing the update and it's at Samsung right now. The local T-Mo store says they are doing the update at the store for free.
Samsung has been great through the whole support thing but I'm done buying anything that doesn't have the latest update already in it.
Wish I had waited for the Google Nexus S..
