I've taken this information from various sources and experience from rooting my Exhibit II, I do not take any credit for any of the information.
1. Install the ZTE Score drivers. When you plug your phone into the computer, the drivers should install automatically, if not, I have included a link to the drivers on ZTE's site.
2. Open Menu>Settings>Applications>Development an check USB debugging. I've also checked "Unknown sources" on the page before that, I don't know if it is needed, but I've seen in different locations that they recommend this as well.
3. Extract Zerg rush root to your desktop and open it.
4. Run ZergRush TempRoot and let it do it's business. When it's done, if all went well, you should now have root access and superuser will be installed on your phone. You MAY need to restart first.
Edit: I've done this to my girlfriend's phone and I can verify that it works.
Edit: I highly recommend installing Titanium Backup and backing up everything before you decide to start uninstalling anything. I REALLY recommend buying the paid version and freezing stuff first, but that's really up to you.
I tried to root it and it did every thing it was spouse to and i tried using superuser to delete some apps and it wont show any apps in the list. So then i rooted it again same problem any help? For ur info i have usb turned on and dubugging mode is on aswell.

You're not going to use superuser to delete the apps, you have to install a third party app like titanium backup.

I have no idea, if you followed the instructions correctly, there's no reason it shouldn't have worked. I don't actually own this phone, my girlfriend does, so I don't know a ton about it.

It definitely could, your phone may need different drivers, didn't know there were slightly different models of the phone, I'll update when I'm at a computer with the other drivers if I can find them.

and can i flash the cricket recovery for the m without root
Going to test that out in a few...trying to get this phone to be recognized by the CPU. Might have to do hard reset. As the phone is similar to the Huawei M860 was thinking of trying CM7 on it. We shall see

Plug your phone into your CPU and enable USB storage and delete it that way.

umm hard to uniinstall sumtin thats not installed. Zergrush is an exploit not an app, thus it installs nothing. Now a script or SoC installs su and superuser.apk so you have perm root n apps can be given su access.

The file/exploit can be put on the external sd.
Was not exactly sure what he was referring to though. Figured that's what was meant
I might be reviving an old thread, but I'm new here and I have a bit of a problem it looks like.
Followed all the instructions, and I've been sitting here for about 10 minutes and nothing is happening...
Got all the way down to:
C:\Documents And Settings\TsarProdigy\desktop\Zerg rush boot>adb install ./androidterm.apk
1159KB/s <92780 bytes in 0.078s>
pkg: /data/local/tmp/androidterm.apk
Nothing is happening...
Also, I'm doing this on a different PC as the one connects to the internet has temperamental USB ports that occasionally turn off...
Yes, Debugging is on.
Though this has given me a notification: (on the phone)
SD Card safe to remove: you can safely remove SD card.
I'm too afraid to do anything, as I don't want to brick my phone...
Help?

Just run the ZergRushTempRoot.bat file. You shouldn't need to mess with the rest in the folder. Also if your interested I have modified a Zerg Rush to also flash the recovery for this phone However this has only been tested on the cricket version as rooting methods for the scores seem slightly different. The cricket version seems to me at least to be slightly easier. Anyway here's the link to the modified zerg. There's also some fairly detailed instructions on how to use it at the post :-)
Hey guys i get errors while triyng to root... some error ...adbfile not recognized......superuser apk not recognized..any help?

Glad to hear you got rooted
As far as tether goes it's $10 more a month and apparently a friend of mine could only sign up for it online or over the phone. Not in the store otherwise as far as I know there's no work around sorry. Hope this helps
