    Help Question about firmware updates.

    My firmware on my galaxy s i9000 right now is 2.3.3. But i was wondering, if i update it to 2.3.6 using odin, is there any chance my phone will get damaged in the process. Like rooting? E.g Bootloop, black screen etc.
