My Sprint Note 2 will sometimes jump around to random date/times and that will trigger, or miss, event notifications.
Does anybody know why this is happening and how to fix it? I think for now I'll try disabling network time sync, but ideally I'd like to have that enabled. Maybe it won't fix...
There are several other products designed to keep you from dropping your phone, but these 3 look the best to me: the Handable, the Fly Grip, and the Thing Sling.
The Handable looks the most versatile because you can rotate the device, but this review here wasn't too positive on how secure it...
I'm trying to find a reasonably priced alternative to something that protects well like the Otterbox case.
So far this looks like the best thing that I've come across: Amazon.com: Ionic GUARDIAN Case for Samsung Galaxy Note II Note 2 N7100 (Black): Cell Phones & Accessories
Anybody tried the...
For a few days up until yesterday the Note 2 for Sprint had a "Coming Soon" page at the Wirefly site. Now it looks like the page has been removed from the site.
I called their 800 number and talked to a girl but couldn't get anywhere with her, and I asked why the page was there and now seems...
I live in the Los Gatos hills, and I currently don't really get service with Sprint and no Wimax. I can't really use my phone unless I'm missing something I could do to fix the signal, which currently goes back and forth between 2-3 bars and 0. I talked to a rep at Wilson Electronics and his...
I'm wondering if it's possible to turn off 1x data and force LTE with this phone.
I live in the hills, and I'm right at the edge of where the LTE signal drops off. When it's connected to LTE it works great, but it switches back and forth between 1x.
Is there any way to disable 1x data and...
I tether the phone all the time. What I've noticed is that when it finishes charging it will say "charge complete: unplug the phone" or something like that.
I think there's a problem with it being tethered and constantly using power. After it's fully charged the battery meter keeps displaying...
I haven't heard anything. Anyone know if it's due for release in October?
Also, is the audio out supposed to go through usb? From what I've read, when 2.2 gets released audio out is supposed to work with the home dock right? It would be nice to just drop it in without having to connect the...
I looked at SwitchPro and there's this: [APP] 4G Toggle Widget v1.2 (6/18) - w/Sense disabled + SOURCE - xda-developers but neither currently supports the Epic. Any other solutions?
Thanks
I'd like to remove the Sprint bloatware, but I've read that you need to be careful of what you remove, and also that on some devices it needs to be there for a 2.2 update.
Is there a tested list of bloatware that can be removed or renamed? I'd like to get rid of things like Amazon, Football...
I want to move an ogg notification to the Epic's internal memory so it will play when the SD card is mounted, but I can't move it to the /system/media/audio/notifications folder. I think it's due to NAND not being unlocked? I have root access.
I tried creating a /media/audio/notifications...
I got my phone today, but I'm having an issue with the earpiece speaker rattling. It makes a high pitched buzzing sound basically. Does anyone else have this problem? If I press on the grill covering the speaker it seems to go away. I'm planning on taking it to a Sprint store to compare.
Let me...
I am testing out the Vibrant. I have a strange problem where downloads will keep restarting. I was finally able to finish downloading the Samsung drivers for Easytether, a bit over 18 MB, but it took several tries and several hours.
Does anyone else have this problem? Unfortunately for me my...
Any thoughts on where the best pricing on the Epic will be?
I sent inquiries to Wirefly and Let's Talk about pricing and if they'll be doing pre orders, but I have to wait on replies.
As far as anyone knows, the pricing for Best Buy and Radioshack is $250 but the rebate is included in that price?
I quickly glanced at those forums, but didn't spend a whole lot of time reading.
It seems some people had issues with defective phones that needed replacing, sometimes multiple times. I don't see that as ultimately a problem with the phone though, such as a design flaw that can't be fixed...
or is that still a rumor? The only thing I've seen from today's Galaxy S event is this video where the presenter said 16 GB internal, but from what I understand it's different for each version:
YouTube - Samsung Galaxy S Launch Event
Edit: I also posted this in the new Epic 4G forums, so this...
Has anyone been able to compare the Galaxy S and the Evo firsthand? I canceled my Evo order to see what the S Pro will be like.
On paper I feel that except for the Evo's slightly bigger screen the Galaxy S has better features including better screen technology, but as we've heard with some...
I'm wondering if anyone has had a problem using the Evo in a car mount. The poster of this video regarding the Evo's grounding issues says it would be a problem.
If there are problems with car mounts I'll have to cancel my order because GPS navigation is such a big deal for me. I'm also...
I guess no one knows this yet, but I thought I'd make a thread about it in case any new info comes up. I'm considering holding off on getting the Evo and looking at this phone. Here are some thoughts I had.
I think the regular Galaxy S is only for T Mobile? Now with Swype I'm not sure if I...
I'm starting to get frustrated. I ordered from Wirefly and they still don't have the Evo. That part is understandable, however Bing has told me they're not going to give me the $50 cash back although I browsed from their website and even sent bing support a jpeg of the ad at the top of the...
I should be able to get an Evo tomorrow. Is Wirefly still the best place? Their price has gone up from the launch price of $170 to $190, but it appears you can still get $50 Bing cash back. And I think there's a coupon code for a free bluetooth headset.
I actually tried to order the Evo on the...
