    Root Network issues

*PROBLEM SOLVED, UPDATE BELOW* Got my G3 about a week ago. Rooted it to install Ad Blocker Plus and get rid of the bloatware (including the Sprint apps) Yesterday I got network error MIP 104. I tried updating my PRL and profile and only got network errors. A few searched turned up very little...

    Root Stuck at fastboot

So, tried flashing this twice now. Both times it put me into what really looks like a hard brick. Rebooted into bootloader, then went to fastboot. Used that to flash the recovery linked to above. Rebooted into recovery, wiped, and flashed the file... everything went black. Somehow by mashing...

Root Google Nav FC... Is there a fix?

Google nav keeps crashing when I'm moving. I've been able to find that the problem is semi-widespread, and that it has to do with graphics. I cannot, however, find a fix. I was running stock rooted JB, now running Meanbean. Help me Obi Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope.

Root Is CM10 the only choice for a "pure" android experience?

Title pretty much nails it. I got a Nexus 7 and pretty much love JB on its own. What are my options for something similar on my LTEvo?

Root I really like CM10 but...

There seems to be some issues. Please don't see this as a rant. I realize these are nightlies that are WOP. Hoping maybe I did something wrong that's easy to fix. First, it eats my battery! Six hours on my nightstand used 8%! My stock with OMJ'S mods doesn't drop at all under the same...

How To Get Rid of Picasa Photos in Gallery

If you are on like me you like to keep things on your N7 tidy. When I first opened the gallery after syncing my Google account, and discovered it littered with photos from Picasa, Blogger, and Google+, I was displeased. The photos aren't even stored on the device! Here is how to get rid of...

Root franco.Kernel Guide - For those new to kernels

About this guide First and foremost, I am not responsible for the franco.Kernel. All the glory goes to Franco. Second, I am no expert. The information in this guide is based on information I have gathered online and my own experience. This guide is fallible. I began using the franco.Kernel as...

Root Franco Kernel r30 for 4.2

Not my work! Been sitting around waiting for a Franco Kernel for 4.2, but his app says there isn't one. Turns out the app was wrong. You can download it here: http://minooch.com/franciscofranco/Nexus7/4.2/ Fun fact: if you use franco's app, back up your current kernel, then move the above...

    Root Can't Flash 4.2

I'm rooted running a stock 4.1.2, rooted, with franco kernel. I've only removed a few of the Google play apps, language packs, and asus keyboard. I've downloaded the 4.2 zip from google, checked the MD5, then tried to flash it from TWRP. Install was failed. Am I missing something?

Root Tips/tricks for using Franco's Kernel?

Had my N7 for a few days now and I love it. First thing I did, right out of the box, was root it. After doing some research I installed Franco's Kernel. I'm happy with it thus far, so I bought the updater app on play (keep on cooking Franco). Suddenly I have a whole bunch of options an not much...

    Root I Broke Busybox

All right. I was trying to install V6 Supercharger after updating my ROM to 2.13 Rooted. Something went wrong and busybox is a goner. SU asks to update it, but can't. TB asks to update it, but can't. TWRP can't restore my last nandroid (when I try to the console says some nonsense about a...

Root Photos not showing up in gallery

Root Rooted users, How often do you reboot?

I find my phones runs better when I reboot it about once a week. The logic here being that rebooting clears the caches, tidying things up a bit in the system. For my fellow roots, how often do you clear the dalvik? I generally do it whenever I'm in recovery or if things get buggy. Has your...

    Root Flashable Landscape Rosie

So, the OTA update pushed me to root. I flashed a couple ROMs today, but really am satisfied with the stock... except I'd like to have the landscape Rosie mod. I'm not really keen on ADVT and am looking for either dumbed down instructions or a flashable zip. I am needy, aren't I?

    Chrome eating battery after update

I was exited that Chrome left beta yesterday, but since updating it had been eating my battery. I restarted my phone, and it ran it's self in the background, running down my battery in the process. Anyone else experiencing this? I uninstalled and will be re install it to see if the update...

A Call To Arms (I want the notes widget on my LTEvo)

I love my LTEvo, as I'm sure you do. There is only two things I miss from my OG Evo: the notes and tasks widgets (I already got the old flashlight app from the hub). I spent over an hour trying out a bunch of notes apps, and all of them left me wanting the simple functionality and good looks...
