    Root [International] Do I need Custom Recovery?

    Noob Q. Hey all, I've got the SGS4 I9505 on 4.2.2 XXUBMG4. I'm wanting to root purely to remove the bloatware provided by my telco, do I still need to flash a custom recovery? Or is that just a routine thing to do when rooting your device?

    What I really meant was: Is there an app out there that can give me a rundown on what is stored on internal memory? Something that would say xGB taken up by apps, xGB taken up by media etc, etc.. Cheers!!
