    Root Just ordered a refurbished NC from BN. How will I know if it's 1.1 or 1.2?

    Super excited for it arrive tomorrow and even more excited for my first android root & mod! According to the "READ ME FIRST" sticky guide in this forum, rooting is different for 1.1 and 1.2 nooks. How will I know?

    Qik App + Old Droid Eris + R/C Car = Some Fun?

    So I had this idea of mounting my old Eris to an R/C car and streaming the video feed with the Qik app. I think this will work perfectly on my campus since Wifi is everywhere. But I think the big downside will be lag between the video feed. I was hoping for almost a live view monitor haha...

    Verizon has stopped the $50 broken phone replacement, ugh...

    So the second I dropped my eris and the screened cracked (touch screen still works) I searched this forum for a solution since I have no insurance. I kept reading in threads that if you simply take your phone into Verizon, they will replace your phone for $50 even if you have no insurance...
