    Root Help -Rooting gone bad

I obtained root and rebooted so I could wipe and flash the Syndicate ROM. I had it on my SD Card (at least I sure thought I did). After wiping, I choose to flash a zip file from the SD card, and the ROM file isn't there. Now I can't boot, I can't apply a ROM. What's my best bet here?

    Root From Hero to Epic

I'm giving my girlfriend my Hero and I'll be getting an Epic. What's the best way to move all of the info from phone to phone? I know I can move music files and the rest via SD card, but will I be able to run my latest Titanium backup on the Epic and have it reinstall all programs reliably? And...

    Porting a new phone number

I'm giving my Hero to my wife, and I'll be getting an Epic. She'll port her phone number from her old carrier to Sprint. The Hero is rooted and I don't want to lose root during the process. I'd also like to keep as much of the customization that I've done as possible. What's the best...

    Tether more than one computer?

My girlfriend and I are going away this weekend, and there is no wireless access anywhere. Are there any applications (I've got an HTC Hero running Gingerbread) that I can install that will allow us both to connect at the same time?

    Lame alert: Auto Dim Setting

Say, here's a lame question. How do I stop my display from auto-dimming? Running DamageControl 2.07.2 if that helps... I remember finding the setting in 1.5, but can't locate it in 2.1.

    Switched ROM's - questions

I switched from Fresh 2.0d To DamageControl 2.0.7 today. Wiped the phone, Dalvik and ext beforehand. My question is this: I was using apps2sd with the last ROM, and I want to use it now. Does it automatically kick in when switching ROMs? If not, what do I need to do? I am absolutely stupid...

    Fresh 2.0d or Apps2SD

I've got two strange problems: 1. If I'm in any app at all and hit the Home button, the "Fresh" logo comes up for one second and then my home screen appears with no widgets. The "refresh" icon comes up for a few seconds and my widgets appear. 2. I can't add contacts in People. If I try, I get...

Problem with Fresh 2.05d or maybe Apps2SD

Two problems actually: 1. Anytime I've got an application open and hit the home button to get to the home screen, The Fresh logo appears and then it goes to my home page. I get the circular "refreshing" icon before the home screen will fully appear. 2. Worse problem: When going to my People...

    Odd Facebook problem

I flashed Fresh 2.0d a few days ago. In my "People" app, the profile photos from facebook show up just fine... up until you reach the letter "N" and then anyone whose name starts with an "N" or above, their profile picture doesn't show up. I've tried manual syncing and waiting for a few days...

    Just rooted - No superuser?

I installed the Sprint 2.1 leak RUU and then rooted. Probably backwards, but everything has been working great for the past few days regardless. My problem is when I try to use something like Titanium Backup. I get a message saying that "busybox works but the "su" command does not elevate to...

Root 2.1 leak and Superuser Privileges

I installed the Sprint 2.1 leak RUU and then rooted. Probably backwards, but everything has been working great for the past few days regardless. My problem is when I try to use something like Titanium Backup. I get a message saying that "busybox works but the "su" command does not elevate to...

    Can't put flash_image into system/bin

This may have been asked before, but if it has, I can't find it. In order to root, I've got to have Flash_image in the system/bin directory. I don't have that file in the directory. I have the flash_image file from the RUU 2.1 leak I installed yesterday, but due to having no root access, I...
