    home button not working

    my home button is not working. I tried to reboot it and it works but only for a time. Before this happened i tried to root my phone. Has this ever happened to you? I am trying to upgrade it to Ice cream sandwich and I have the unzipped file in the sd card. Is this making a change? Please help me...
