The guy's over at xda have worked their magic and have now given us a new root method for locked bootloaders :D
I used the method from Bin4ry and it worked 1st time on my T.
I'm just posting the news, all credit goes to the guy's at xda.

Bin4ry over on xda has created a script that should root all NXT phones, xperia s as well ;)

This should work on locked and unlocked bootloaders, so if you need to root head over to this thread at xda ;)
Here's an interesting read, O2 are refusing to update certain 2011 xperia phones ics.
O2 UK denies Xperia Ray, Arc and Neo owners Ice Cream Sandwich - Engadget
Now I wonder if they will do this to the xperia s with future updates ?

Just found this app over on xda, it lets you mount your phone in mass storage mode :D and it works like a charm.
Only for rooted devices though.
