I was really sick of bad battery life and performance after ICS update and decided to downgrade to gingerbread. I did it successfully!

And yes while flashing stock firmware with flash tool, it will ask you to press back button and power key to enter in flash mode but it won't work. To enter flash mode on WT19i, press volume down button and then home button, LED Notification light will glow to green and flashing will start.

Hi me also wanted to remove ICS...its very slow and battery performance...Could you please any one tell me how to downgrade it??

If its within warranty, its advised to give the mobile to some Sony Authorised service center and ask them to downgrade it to GB.
