agreed. just read a little bit of info out there. i can't wait to get my hands on the phone. i hope SE has improved the call volume over the xperia x10 which seems to be a major concern for most people, including myself.
Call volume was fixed in Android 2.1 [I see you're from Seattle, so I'm assuming your still stuck on 1.6 with AT&T]
But nonetheless, I want this phone. like Now.
not true, i updated my x10 to 2.1, yet i have not noticed any difference nor anyone who updated to 2.1 has verified this has been the case. i read the section xperia x10. can you show me something to validate your statement?

Sorry. I may be wrong. I thought it was fixed in 2.1. I don't have any difficulty when talking on the phone compared to 1.6.
Hmm well i'm due an upgrade and i have a X10, i might even consider upgrading to this rather than my original idea of an iphone. don't like how the back and menu button have been swapped around thou.
This phone is sick as well it looks like a step up from the HTC inspire, and samsung infuse that were just announced, but what troubles me is that AT&T didnt mention it at all?
But is it really that much of a step up from the x10?
I'll be buying an x10 in a few days. The x10 was 1000 when it came out here, I don't see the point is paying that much for something only slightly better.
I upgrade every two years, I won't bother buying an Arc.

Just my opinion.

As much as the Atrix has amazing specs, I am afraid it will be stuck at 2.2 for a very long time. The Arc being launched with 2.3 is a major plus.
I will be very interested in the Arc and as a minimum will wait on the release of it before making a decision on the Atrix.

No I am not kidding. I have had it since August and not had any issues with it other than the upgrade fiasco. The call quality is excellent, the GPS works, the 2.1 has streamlined and made everything smoother and faster.
May I ask if you own one and in what respect do you find it a "massive suck".

I messed with my friends constantly. No multitouch is lame. The ram is not good and there UI is a bit ehh although their camera is outstanding and the 2.1 works flawless

I will agree with all the positives you said and disagree with the negatives. I will give you the multi touch although I didn't care for it on the Captivate.

I guess we will just have to agree to disagree.

Thanks, but you will get a 1.6 laden with at&t bloatware.

Haven't you guys learned a lesson with the X10? Ditch SE and go to HTC or Samsung!
I think I may keep my HD7(and see what updates Microsoft has in store) I am really leaning towards the Arc as I keep seeing pictures....I'll see what Microsoft has in store and if I can't deal with Microsoft anymore(Which I currently love....the first time ever I've actually saw a phone and I am okay with being stuck with it for 2 years) and fall in love with the arc, I will get it....
I agree with Charlyee...I never really had many issues with mine...
My only issues/complaints were
1)Low volume
2)Timescape had a few quirks(so does blur, sense, touchwiz,, etc)
3)Android 1.6(i blame at&t for this now)
Most of these problems could be overlooked and hopefully...HOPEFULLY, SE has learned the mistake with the Xperia X10 and will do better
