Default sony ericssons new xperia mini range will it be a overpriced dud or a small and mighty competitor

with a 1ghz processor, adreno 205 gpu, upgraded battery, bravia engine and many other features will it simply be too overpriced to take off. maybe even just no place in the market for such a small phone?

I am actually quite excited about the new Xperia Mini. I think it's great that Sony has decided to continue with the Mini range.

I believe the size could be a selling point for users who prefer portability and convenience. It's just perfect for biking and running. Besides I don't want my phone to look like another iPhone.

More and more people these days are also using tablets as a complement to their mobile-phones so the size of their phone screen would not matter as much.

Having just had one given to me free to go with my 10 a month update/renewal, I had expected to throw it in the drawer, or sell it on-line, or use it as a spare. I have the Nokia N86 8MP with it's glorious camera and old Symbian software. A phone I have loved an cherished for 2 years
Then I fired up the X10 Mini. It's my first ever touch-phone and it is totally remarkable.
The N86 is now in the drawer. I'm only glad I've got a 500MB data bundle included int he 10 because just setting it up took 18MB
Fortunately, most other downloads I'm doing using the WiFi at home. Downside is the camera is not as good as the N86 but it's very good nevertheless.

Overpriced?! You can't be serious! I picked up mine from the carphone warehouse site for 169.99, unlocked! What a bargain, it has the specs of the highest end phones out there.
