Xperia play file transfer help

Hello,

I've got some .apk files and I need to get them on my xperia play I copy and paste them to my memory card but I can't find them on my phone and they don't install.

Can anyone help?

Well where did you put them? The root of the sd card? WHat file manager app are you using to navigate to the files?
