Default install vanilla gingerbread on branded at&t play 4g?.....
I have an at&t branded unlocked sony play 4g phone and is there a way to install a unbranded gingerbread same version I guess thats currently install to get rid of at&t junk? Or do I even need to to all that do I just uninstall the software that they put on or what thanks?

The SE ROM is faaaairly vanilla-y (try different launcher, lockscreen). You can remove apps from the ROM if you root.

Yea the SE Skin doesn't really interfere with the device as much as other skins do (HTC Sense, MotoBlur etc.) If it's just branded crap you want to get rid of, I'd reccomend just rooting and then using something like Titanium Backup to remove whatever you don't want on there.
