Question Sony Ericsson Xperia Play R800at - Stuck on security question? How to master reset?

Hey guys,

We have a Sony Ericsson Xperia Play R800AT in the shop that we got from a customer to re-sell.

Well, we tried factory resetting the phone, but had no success. The passcode has been tried so many times it's asking for a security question to be answered, and of course we don't know it.

Is there an alternate button pattern to press in order to get to the wipe data screen? Or can we plug it into the computer and flash it some how?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

To remove the pattern lock once the security lock activated please see the below steps:

1. Before you start you have to download the PC Companion software from Download for PC - Sony Smartphones (UK)
and install it on your PC.
2. Once installed on your PC, double-click the PC Companion icon on your desktop to start the update.
Note! For some models you will be prompted to do a backup prior to the update and then restore.
3. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
4. Phone Software Update.
5. Start.
6. Repair Phone
7. Continue
8. Accept data removal
9. Next
10. Wait for prepare
11. Select Phone
12. Follow the connectionn steps
