Do the (sym) and the (language) buttons work?

Hello everyone,

I'm planning on buying a Sony Ericsson Experia Pro, but I've heard that the symbol (sym) button and the (language) button on the qwerty keyboard don't work in the text messages. Is this right? Because I really need those buttons.

These buttons both work on my Pro. However, if I install a different on screen keyboard it stops these buttons from working.
I'm not sure if that's the same on everyone's Pro though.

You can download different keyboards from the Android market.
As long as you keep the regular keyboard, the language and symbol button should work fine.

For German users, we do loose all the 'German Umlaute' like ä, ü, ö and the like, when using other keyboards from the market. Only if we use the standard SONY keyboard, can we get Umlaute (pressing 'a' for one second to get a 'ä' , etc. ).

But i can confirm that both buttons work fine with the standard keyboard.
