Default Please help bluetooth consuming battery

I've just purchased my first smart phone-sony ericsson xperia pro. I am experiencing a lot of battery usage and it is showing that my bluetooth is consuming more 60% of it even though I have turned off my bluetooth.

Please advise on how I can rectify this problem.

Thanks in advance.
