Default Home and menu display

Hi have just started using an xperia ray, so i apologise if i am being thick, but i took a call today, after call had ended there is now a gray stripe down the right hand side of my home menus, and when i go onto the apps menu it is now out of alignment, everything seems to have moved to the right, as if there is no page break. anyone know how to fix this please, its annoying.

Try a software update first and if this does not resolve the issue you may need to get the phone in for repair:
