General advice

Hi all. I'm in the UK, on Orange, and considering getting a contract phone for my partner.

We want something midrange - better in capability and screen resolution than the cheapest stuff like HTC wildfire (around £15 a month) - but cheaper than the new top range phones which are all £30+. The Ray seems to fit the bill nicely, around £20 a month and mostly great reviews.

One thing that bothered me was the onboard keyboard... several reviews saying it's too fiddly and that it doesn't switch to landscape mode. Surely that's not correct?

Any general advice on this phone appreciated, thanks!

try the new Swype method of using keyboard.... you will have to learn it a bit but then u will never leave it

the keyboard certainly switches to landscape

we didnt answer your question because the previous answer seemed to be an answer in itself

SWIPE method is very comfortable

you wont bother about keyboard if you used to it
