I am not using the stock screen... I switched to ADW.Launcher. The music widget is from "Cubed" (^3) and the photo frame is "Turtle Photoframe".
Appreciate it man. I'm totally in love with Turtle Photoframe, and I actually tried Cubed before, never realized they had the small widget. Nonetheless, thanks!
I believe that It is the 4x2 jorte horizontal widget that I have used as well and with the setting in the app to display the month view as default. I recommend taking the time to go through the app preferences as it has so much in it that can be user adjusted. Its a wonderfully powerful app.
I installed Jorte about two hours ago and have spent til now getting it just so... but I LOVE it. I also have sorted out my Google Calendar and Birthdays and its all going together beautifully. So thanks for the info from OP's... great use of a thread to spread the good word about various apps.
wow i feel so stupid being on this thread. all of you know all the terms and tricks and im a beginner. I have a bit more than basic set up. I hardly know how to find apps and put them to use. I have no idea what rooting is or anyting like that.. aghhh. i feel helpless lol
I think you are looking at Beautiful Widget from the market. Its a paid app but its properly brilliant imho. The date links you through to your calendar, the time to your alarms, the weather to a five day forecast. There are loads of themes and you can change the font and transparency and do all sorts!
Spike, mate dont be hard on yourself. Told you we were all noobs once. Just ask and ye shall be answered!

Grab a comfy seat and have a good read of this site
I think at time more simple is best for me. I dont want my homepage(s) too intense and complicated lol. I want simple but very functional. just got the battery lite widget. neat. wow it goes fast on 1.6! lol. hopefully 2.1 helps batt life!
r
Ive got 1 page full of apps like FB, yellowpages, maps, youtube, email, weather and wisepilot. The main middle page has timescape, small time and date , phonebook, mediascape, messaging and dialer and my right page has batt lite, calendar widget, some contacts, dolphin browser, my account (wich i have no clue what it is) and shop.
basic stuff but right now all i need.
question, I have a few contact names that i dial alot on my right page but their picture wont show up, its just the little contact default card still... my old htc dream showed their face picture? why not xperia?

Lol, I usually charge mine in the evening when I get home from work, but since I am going out tonight I wanted to make sure it was fully charged before that.
I love my sticky pad.

Just got my X10 a few days ago. Total noob to the android experience (bye bye blackberry!) and I'm loving this phone. My setup is nowhere near pretty, but Olivia is.

I think most of us know the business-oriented beginnings of BB, so no need to dive into that. I asked my friend why she liked her blackberry so much,
and her reply was: bbm. That was it. All of her friends had blackberries so that they could all chat on bbm. It's sad to think that a single piece of IM software is steering the minds of new customers.
finally after searching for quite a long time d for the word clock that sparkdroid been using on his homescreen now i found it ^^...now i wanna share it with all of u. below is the link for the apps and the QR code http://www.appbrain.com/app/net.bajawa.tajm#

I came from BB 9700 and BBM is the only thing I miss. It is pretty unique, there is a group chat function and picture posting. This is not only fun but can be very useful to convey a message or a share puctures in real time, with a group of friends. For me it was very helpful from overseas since it uses minimal data and not 50 cents for each message.
The other thing is that BB condenses data very efficiently, so one uses much less data. From approximately the same usage, my data went up from 100 mb to 400 mb per month.
It is a very efficient device and does well at what it is meant to do but by no means is it any no fun.
I, for one have never looked back.
Just my 2 cents.

is there an easy way to capture the screens and post - just spent a few days going through market, forum etc for ideas and have my X10 setup nicely for my usage now
Ok so I think I finally have a homescreen worth keeping. The setup I had before was, well, bland and somewhat boring to me (NOT Olivia.. lol) So I tinkered a bit and came up with this new setup. I usually run it with the status bar and apps button hidden unless I need them.
how do you insert pics rather than attaching them ?
I upload my pics to another server (in my case a skydrive,) and just use the Insert Image button when composing a message.
Although, I think I should be splitting the images, since I appear to be warping the forum width. My apologies for that. I'll keep it under control in the future.

think i'll just stick with the attachments - although i fathom most people won't bother looking lol
Nonsense. This thread is about seeing what others have come up with in terms of home screen setups. To be honest, it was this thread that helped me discover some of the apps that have led me to the setup I'm enjoying now.
This thread bought Beautiful Widgets and Jorte Calendar to my phone, for which I am forever grateful. So share your screens, cos we all stumble across different apps and its good to see what of the 50,000+ apps are good.
(Do have to say mine looks very girly in comparison to you boys and your mean and moody looks... maybe I'll have a change around this week if I get time!)

Assuming you are, in fact, a girl; Then having a girly looking phone is perfectly acceptable. As long as the phone itself isn't covered in stick on plastic jewels.. Honestly, that is the most atrocious way I can think to decorate a phone. :S

Couldn't agree more, nope no stick on stuff for me. I love the clean smooth lines of my phone. My last theme was red roses (!) and red and black keyboard which is slightly less girly and one I may return to in future.
I may also have a look at the birthday app... brain like a sieve so always good to be reminded!

The red roses was just a wallpaper that I found and l then modded a keyboard on Gimpsta's site for the HTC_IME keyboard and changed the app drawer background and select highlight on ADW to various shades of red / transparency, changed the Beautiful Widgets theme so it blended better, set the Timescape theme to the dark version, my Jorte fitted in with both on the strawberry milk setting. Can't get round the blue SE menu's tho, not sure if you can as you are rooted?
when im double clicking on ddms nothing is happening. dark screen flashes but doesnt do anything,i dont know where im going wrong. all this hassle just to take a screen shot
