Question The SE site changed. Help?

The SE X10 web site has changed a few times lately. First, they dropped the a from the original X10a name, so it's just X10. Now, they have clarified questions about the networks. It looks like the phone will be AT&T only, but I am not sure...I'm not good enough at deciphering it all. T-Mo uses 1700/2100, correct? Here's what the SE site says:

GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900
UMTS/HSPA 800/850/900/1700/1900/2100
Networks
UMTS HSPA 800/850/1900 only available for phones sold in Americas (except Brazil) and Australia. UMTS HSPA 900/1700 not available for phones sold in Americas. UMTS HSPA 1900/2100 available worldwide.

So, it doesn't say anything about UMTS/HSPA 1700 being available worldwide, but I'm guessing it is. So....does that mean 1900/2100 is available worldwide including the US or are they saying worldwide to NOT include the US since they stated that 800/850/1900 would be only available in the US? Are they making the phones function on different network sets for different countries?

Those of you who have european Heroes, do the OTA updates download for you in the US or are you SOL on that/do it manually? I'd love to get the phone, but don't want to get saddled with the baggage of AT&T's extremely expensive pricing.

Here's the page:

Very interesting... It seems that a lot of things with this phone have changed recently, from its frequencies, to its name, to its release date, who knows whats next.

I know! The strangest part is the name. I thought they'd release an x10b or something that was the x10a with a keyboard....but looks like not.

There never was an A or B, at least not since the official announcement. On Nov 4th they only announced one phone which is the Xperia X10. The previous name was Xperia X3, but there was no "A" and "B" version.

Yes, there was. It went from x3, to x10a, to x10. Here's a write-up review from when it was called x10a:

And here's the official sony ericsson page google cached for the announced 10a from a week ago:
