Xperia x10 Proxy settings

Hi everyone

I have a SE Xperia x10 and realised I cannot access external sites while connected to the wireless at Uni. I need to enter proxy settings but there is not an option for this on the x10. Anyone know how I can go about getting proxy settings? A good app perhaps? I have tried Firefox and the proxy add-on works but firefox on android is terrible. Thanks in advance.

Through the 2 minutes I have spent doing a google search, looks like setting a proxy on an Android isn't simple.

First, root your phone.....you will probably need to do that to use most of these apps.

Here are a few of these apps:

ProxyDroid - Android app on AppBrain

Droid Proxy | AppBrain Android Market
Orbot: Tor on Android | AppBrain Android Market

Anyone tried it before?
