Thumbs up X10 power on/off randomly - SOLVED

Any body with an X10 that shuts down at random, problem powering back up etc etc? well i have just solved the problem on my X10.

After countless re installs / factory resets which did not work i checked out the battery and the pins that go up against the battery.
Bit sticky, so cleaned off and just to be sure put two little drops of solder onto each terminal plate on the battery so that the pins would make contact better.

Hey presto. I can throw the phone around the room and it refuses to power off.
This may well have been the problem that made my original battery drain too quickly.

Don't know if this helps anyone else, but did the trick for me.

Thanks a lot for figuring out this is an electrical issue. I think you're the only one on the internet that discovered this.

For me, I put layers of tape on the bottom of the battery, so that the battery is really wedged into its compartment and forced up against the pins. It still powers off occasionally (once a week), but not nearly as often as before (multiple times per day). Maybe your solder solution would work better but I'm not good at soldering and don't have the right equipment.
