Default Vibration problem

Hi everyone. My brother bought a new phone (Sony Ericsson Xperia x8) and he is having vibration problems. At first it vibrated when he touched and used the phone but it suddenly stopped. We can't seem to find a solution. Did anyone else have similar problem? We can't find an option in settings either which turns vibration while browsing the phone on.

I hope someone can help.

Em. Isn't that thing normal?

edit:
  • why does it vibrates? SMS notifications?
  • after it stopped, does the vibration will no longer work? how about rebooting?
  • which ROM are you on? stock 2.1?

YOu can switch on vibration by going settings

Sorry I updated to a custom rom I can't remember the old days menu you can figure yoour way in settings.

Good luck.
