Is the Xperia X8 touch screen supposed to automatically lock, immediately, after turning it on?

hi,

just press the power button (screen off) it goes to screen lock and if you press the power button then slide to unlock.

When you say lock do you mean the pattern security lock or just the general slide unlock to open your home screen?

It will lock if the screen goes into standby due to inactivity or if you tap the power button to force standby.

from my experience with my X8... after turning on the X8 it will automatically lock u slide it first to unlock so u can use ur X8...
