From my experience you can forget about finding a browser with configureable proxy settings on droid.
All the latest browers do not have proxy settings.
Also, the ones that do seem to be limited and a waiste of time.
You can however configure proxy for your wifi connection.
When you first connect to the wifi network and authenticate you have the option of configuring proxy settings.
If you need to do so and have arleady configured the wireless network, just go back and "forget" the saved wireless network. Then re-connect and enter proxy settings.
This however, works on a limited basis. It will not give you full access from behind a proxy.
However, the following is the best solution.
If you want full unrestricted access from behind a proxy, ie: webbrowsing, market, applications, gaming, you will need a proxy app for the droid.
This will also require root priveledges.
The easiest way is to use 1click to root (you can search this) and then download and install proxydroid app.
This works like a champ.
I am behind a proxy at work. Before I could not even use dolphin.
Now I have full unrestricted access to all browsers and webpages, market, games ectd. All I had to do was configure proxydroid one time.
Email is the only thing I have been unable to get to work from behind the proxy.
