Default Sony PC Companion wont recognize my phone =[
Hey guys, i want to update my phone using the Sony PC Companion thing but it doesn't find my phone although my phone is charging through the USB.
Please help ^_^

PC Companion will tell you that it detects Xperia X8 in recovery and start to install android eclair 2.1.1 software to the phone.

If PC Companion does not detect your phone...
a) usb drivers not installed
b) usb cable not connected properly or faulty usb cable

Wink Sony PC Companion worked in compatibility mode
I've had the same problem with Sony PC Companion not recognizing my Sony Xperia P phone. I am using a PC running Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium. Then I tried Troubleshoot Compatibility, which is found if you right click the desktop icon for PC Companion. The system suggested Windows XP Service Pack 2 compatibility, I accepted that, ran the program again and connected the phone. It worked! I now have full connectivity with the phone. Worth a try, see if this helps.
